Well, actually it's a Happy Two-And-A-Half-Hours from 5.30pm until 8.00pm when customers can enjoy a 50 per cent reduction on the price of selected beers, wines and spirits.
That means £1.90 for a pint of Carling lager or Strongbow cider, £2.00 for a glass of house wine and £2.25 for a spirit and mixer.
It's perfect for anyone who fancies a drink after work with friends or workmates or is looking for somewhere new to bring their partner. Whatever the reason it's unlikely they will find drinks anywhere else locally at these prices!!
And they will enjoy their drinks in the elegant Grade II listed surroundings of London's premier country house hotel.

Gilbert's Restaurant, with its coveted and well-deserved two AA rosettes, enjoys a considerable reputation locally for its modern British style of cuisine.
Head Chef Daren Mason and his team work closely with the hotel's Head Gardener to include on the menus whenever possible seasonal fruit and vegetables grown in the orchard and kitchen gardens.
Whilst we can't offer home grown ingredients to cookery enthusiasts visiting our website we can do the next best thing by posting recipes each week to enable them to re-create some of our restaurant dishes in their own kitchens.
So be sure to log on regularly to enjoy a little bit of Gilbert's at home. We would even be interested to hear any comments that you might have about what you cook so why not drop us an email on...
Our first two recipes are:

Method
Bring vinegar and spices to the boil, add sugar and stir until sugar has dissolved. Pour on to plums and leave to cool then leave for a 1 week.
