Wedding Ceremonies

The wedding ceremony will normally take place in the same room as your wedding breakfast.

On completion of the ceremony our banqueting team will prepare the room for the meal, while your photographer organises the photographs and your guests are served reception drinks.

The beautiful grounds and architecture have made the Grim's Dyke a very popular location for wedding ceremonies. We have three suites licensed for this purpose. Ceremony music can be provided by your choice of CDs or you may wish to make use of the hotel's grand piano. The string quartet's music and style makes a perfect accompaniment and in the Music Room they will entertain your guests from our impressive Minstrels Gallery, and herald the entrance of the bride.

Ceremony Times
Weddings may be held on any day of the week subject to availability. We are normally able to offer:

Monday to Friday 1pm or 5pm
Saturdays 1pm, 3pm or 5pm
Sundays & B/Hols 12pm , 2pm or 4pm

We suggest the earlier ceremony time of 1pm if you are planning an evening function to follow your wedding breakfast. Other times may be available on request. Please give as much notice as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: The booking of your ceremony is not something the hotel can undertake on your behalf. The hotel charge an additional hire fee of £100.00
